Anyone writing?
May. 6th, 2014 02:40 pmCame across these on another com - Pixar's 22 Rules of Storytelling - It's for movies obviously but I think many of them apply to any type of story writing.
Quite liked rule # 3 - Trying for theme is important but you won't see what the story's about until the end of it. Now re-write.
And # 4 - Once upon a time there was __. Every day, __. One day, __. Because of that __. Because of that __. Until finally, __. Oh if only it were that simple....
Anyone up for a no-pressure spring challenge? Perhaps we could play Spring Consequences using the above template, although it would be easier if we were all sitting round a table with some paper and pencils. Pencils!! *sigh*

I like #19, on coincidences and cheating. :) I think we could use a no-pressure spring challenge. I know I probably could.
