So, what did everybody do yesterday?? I had 32K to re-read before I could start adding to it, I haven't opened the file for nearly a year. And I discovered that reading on the screen just wasn't working, so I printed it out. Amazing the difference it makes to have it on paper. It took determination not to make the read an editing pass, but I didn't, even though the story is going to need a serious edit once the first draft is done. The good thing is, I don't hate it, and the notes I made to finish the story look like they'll work.

So that's where I am, ready to dig in and get on it.

What did everybody else get up to??

I managed to get over 100 words written last night, on a story that can't quite seem to find its voice (which means that much of that 100 may go away). It's for a bingo fill. Today is test grading then trying to get to the point of that story.

Yea for finding that you don't hate what you have! And for getting back to it!!

Various RL reasons and people meant I couldn't get to anything yesterday, but I did cogitate on how to go forward with my BB (in the wee small hours *yawn*). So, onward and upward today hopefully!

It's always such a relief to dig out old works in progress and feel like hooking up with them again :)

On day 1, I also had some reading to do, and I did end up doing some editing, so that counts as some writing, I suppose. Then I had to do a bit more research reading for that particular story.

On day 2, I did some actual writing. It wasn't much, just a few paragraphs, but I needed to connect two separate sections together, so the paragraphs were definitely needed addressing before I can continue with the main part of the plot.

I probably should have done the re-reading and editing before November 1st, but doing so on day 1 did help keep it fresh in my mind, and get me caught up in the story itself, which is good.

Day 1 I only got 100 words of Mag7 written. Yesterday, though, I got just over 1700 words and finished some ficlets. Now I have to take aim at some other stories I want to finish. :)

And some awesome words they are, too - I am really impressed with what you're doing, Randi - and envious! But mostly greedy for more!

Thank you! The ficlets were the easy part of NaNo, though; now comes the hard part - finding the words to finish some fics that I really should have finished long since.

Can't wait to see what you're working on. If you need any help, please just let me know. :)
