No, not the boys - though, yeah, it would be rather fun to discuss what they're fixated on (Chris, finding his family's killer;, Buck, sex; Nathan, medicine; Ezra, weatlh; et cetera). No, as writers, what do *we* fixate on? When you're writing, what quality in the characters do you find that you describe the most?
I tend to be a hair and eye person. I tend to be repetitious about where someone is looking or staring or what message they're sending with their gaze. I also tend to concentrate on hair - color, what it's doing, how it looks. I'm especially bad about it in scenes with dialogue, and I find, on editing, that I have to find other things for the characters to be doing - hand movements, face movements, or even activity outside of the characters in the discussion.
