Today is Veteran's Day, the day we celebrate everybody who has served their country, whether volunteer or draftee, and not like Memorial Day, when it's about the fallen. Today is about anyone who served in uniform.
With that in mind, which of the guys would want to remember (not that they can ever forget) serving in the Civil War. We know some of them did, but would it be a more painful memory for some of them than others? Would J.D. somehow feel left out that he was too young to serve? And how does that inform the backstory of the guys as we write them?
