Today I'm thinking about outlines. As in, story planning. Plotting both the emotional journey and the "action" journey of stories and making them interlace and work and come to a suitable "the end" point. For long stories, I work with outlines. For short ones, not so much. I know people, though, who say that if they write the outline, they feel like the story has been written and then they have no motivation to write out the whole thing in detail.

Which are you? An outliner or not? And why?
