I went horse riding today, first time in years, and it was a blast. One of the people along on the trail ride commented "imagine traveling all day, every day, like this". Personally, my thought was that I'd get a saddle that fit me a little better, but I think horse is a great way travel, so much better than cars. Horses help pay attention to the trail/road, they watch out for scary things around the countryside, and they're good company. Call me when they invent a car that will take you home safely if you fall asleep in the saddle :)

I suspect our guys felt that way, at least a little bit, about their horses, too.
