Sometimes I tend to ponder why it is I write, beyond the whole "if I don't, I'll explode" thing, that is. I was chatting with some friends on genre of stories, and was asked what genre I was writing to, and I kept coming back to the same answer. I'm writing what I want to read that somebody else isn't already writing for me. And I think that's pretty much what I write, whether it's fanfiction or if I'm pondering original character fiction...
