Yesterday, Fara posted a question about editing, assuming that we all believe in it. We do, don't we? After I posted my answer there, I thought some more and realized I don't necessarily give everything the same level of editing. Longer, plotted stories get what I call "real" editing, but aren't there always those silly throw away pieces we write that we don't feel compelled to edit heavily? I know I have them. But even those always always always get proof-read and spell-checked before "posting without a net".

What do you do with the "less important" pieces you write?
