Query - well, several

As Fic_promptly is no longer viable, does anyone have any other *general* prompting places they like to us?  I love our Mag 7 prompts on Daybook (thank you, Randi!!) but sometimes, I find random prompts to jar my muse loose.  Any one have any suggestions?

How goes the writing?  I'm behind as the throes of the end of the semester and massive grading have deterred me (hard to believe that's not inspiring, isn't it.  *G*).  Anyone making headway or are we caught up in spring and other RL distractions? anyone playing with alternate universes???

Such a shame about fic_promptly, I too like the thematic, random prompts - it was always as much fun to think up prompts and read other people's as it was to try and fill them... I still miss flashslash as well :( But yes, hooray!!! that we have our lovely daybook prompts and our bingo. There is fan_flashworks that I know of - I think a new theme is posted every couple of weeks and there are deadlines, but I don't know anywhere that specifically encourages the creativity of prompting per se. Perhaps I should revive bi-weekly bingo prompting - that does have random, kick-start possibilities...

For sure Spring's not working as a inspiration to me at the moment - am making zero headway. Sigh.

Spring is very stressful, isn't it? Especially for those of us waiting most impatiently for new words to continue stories that ended in REALLY BAD PLACES.

Not that I'm hinting or anything.

ETA - HEL-um, heck YES, bi-weekly bingo prompting would be AWESOME!!!!

The comment-fic com looks promising... I have joined and thrown up a few Mag7 prompts for the current theme, movie titles. I just spent a delightful half an hour scrolling through all the western film titles on wikipedia :) Luckily there's a limit of 3 in a row per fandom otherwise I might have gone a little crazy! Ones I didn't post but which rather amused me were:

A number of people volunteered to help run fic_promptly, which I thought was great, but sadly, nothing has come of it. I do not have the organizational skillz to take on a task such as that, and I know it, otherwise I'd have volunteered.

I'm glad the daybook bi-weekly prompts are at least helping to fill a gap!

On the writing front, I'm averaging ~240 words or so a day, which is awesome progress for me. :) And most of it on an idea you planted, you sneaky thing you! *grin*

I do love the Daybook prompts and you do an awesome job of them - and keeping up with them and getting them to Delicio! I have several ideas started, I just can't seem to get the endings to work. I need my completion muse to come back. *sigh*
