Unbeknownst to me until today, last week was Steampunk Week 2012 at Tor.com (Tor is one of the larger speculative fiction publishers, owned by MacMillan).   A friend of mine posted links to several of the more interesting articles posted last week, including this one, which, for some of us, is more than a little applicable.
